November Birthstones – Topaz
There are three traditional birthstones representing the month of November, smoky quartz, citrine, and orange topaz. I have a November birthday and When I was growing up the topaz was considered the November birthstone and it’s still my favorite.
Vintage Thomas L Mott TLM Charms and Jewelry
A while back I posted some photos of my TLM charm collection. Since that time I’ve acquired a few more so I’m updating the pictures. These are all TLM, mostly enamels, and the bracelet that the British Isle charms are on is also marked TLM. In my quest I’ve found that that the Thomas L Mott company is also known for other jewelry pieces.
Jewelry Term Definitions – Alphabetical G’s
Garnet – A semi precious stone that is generally red in color. Includes Bohemian Garnets, which were used extensively in Victorian turn of the century jewelry. Gemstones – Precious and semi-precious stones used in jewelry.

Cincinnati Charm Convention – The Last Day
Sunday was the final official day of the charm gathering. We got up early in the morning and several of us went to an antique / flea market in Indiana. The rest stayed at the hotel and did more charm sharing. I was one of the antique market folks. Sandy accompanied us on our fun field trip. I haven’t been able to find the quality of antique markets in Central Florida that there are in the Midwest so I was anxious to check it out.
