A Favorite Charm Bracelet – Old Florida Attraction Souvenirs
This is one of my very favorite charm bracelets. It's not entirely complete but well enough on the way to show it off. The theme is old tourist attractions in my home state of Florida from "pre Disney" days. That's the era of my childhood and I fondly remember taking trips to all of these great spots, some of which are no longer in existence. The bracelet is a dot and dash link, also one of my favorite vintage styles. Here's the run down from the left side of the spring closure link all the way around in the main photo (the closeups aren't in any particular order):
- Ringling Brothers Circus Hall of Fame in Sarasota Florida
- Gatorland in Orlando
- Citrus Tower in Clermont Florida (there's hardly any citrus there now, just housing developments as far as the eye can see)
- Lion Country Safari in West Palm Beach
- Gasparilla in Tampa (a pirate festival and parade)
- Six Gun Territory in Ocala (gone)
- Stephen Foster Memorial in White Springs on the Suwannee River
- Tarpon Sprngs which is an actual town on the west coast
- Weeki Wachee in the town with the same name
- Bok Singing Tower in Lake Wales
- Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven
- Marineland near St. Augustine
- City gates of St. Augustine
- Silver Springs in Ocala
My viewers may have visitied these places when they were young too so if you have stories please feel free to post them. I would love to read about your memories. I have several more charms in mind that I'm keeping a lookout for on several internet sites and if I find them I'll add them & post an update.

Very cool stuff! I can see why you’ve had so much success selling lately.

Great new site, great new look. I LOVE IT!!!
Thanks ColderICE I appreciate you stopping by. I think this is going to be great fun.
Hi. What a lovely idea to have have a charm from each of the original tourist attractions in the state! I just wanted you to know that Marineland near St. Augustine is still here and in business. The facility has changed significantly from the original format but the location and mission continue. We now offer swim with dolphins programs, camps, weddings, and private events.

Marineland
Well I’m genuinely sorry to have made that misstatement and will correct it immediately. I remember visiting Marineland many times as a youngster, and now that you’ve given me this news I’ll definitely be going there again! Thanks so much.
This is so neat. Want to trade me one for some of my vintage Florida attraction bumper stickers?
Those are awesome. I remember some from when I was little and my mom and dad drove all over the state on the weekends with me in the back seat. Gas was cheap then and that was a favorite pass time. I think I’ll stick to collecting charms for now though.
