News About My Vintage Jewelry Business

Art Nouveau Woman PinMy new website "The Charm Cellar" should be ready soon. I am eagerly looking forward to testing my skills at selling vintage charms on my very own independent site. I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to drive internet traffic there but I've got a few ideas.

Also I bought a new program called Phpbay that allows me to showcase my favorite ebay categories and searches on my blog pages. Test out the links at the top of my home page to see how it works. Once a reader clicks through to ebay and buys an item I get a commission. I've had a teeny bit of luck making money with a free program that wasn't as sophisticated so I decided to go all out and try the official version of the ebay affiliate software. Shoot I may even make my own purchases through the program and earn money back on the items I buy.

The summer has been rather slow on the vintage jewelry sales front. That's expected. I'm seeing a bit of an uptick in the last couple of weeks so I'm hopeful that the Holiday Season will kick into gear shortly.

On another note, I'm going to Cincinnati to a charm collector "convention" in a couple of weeks. It's the first ever official meeting of the members of Joans' Vintage Charms and Bracelets group.  I'm trembling in anticipation, there are going to be some of the most enthusiastic charm collectors in the country there and they have lots of activities planned. I can't wait to see all the loot. My collection is pathetic compared to their treasures. I'll be taking lots of photos and with any luck they will allow me to share some on my blog when I return. Stay tuned.....

Looking forward to hearing about Cincinnati meeting of charm enthusiasts!

It is great to get with one’s tribe, very energizing. And perhaps there will be some shopping possibilities to look for charms, or a museum or collection tour…
